Ian Parberry


I am a Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of North Texas. I received a BS with First Class Honours in Computer Science and Mathematics in 1981 from the University of Queensland and a PhD in Computer Science in 1984 from the University of Warwick. I joined UNT in 1990 after Assistant Professoring at Penn State. I have taught game programming to undergraduates since 1993 and I am Director of the Laboratory for Recreational Computing. My research has intersected many areas of computer science including entertainment computing, AI, computer graphics, neural networks, parallel computing, and theoretical computer science. I've been cited over three thousand times, my h-index is 30, my i10-index is 63, my Erdös number is 3, my Bacon Number is 3, and my Erdös-Bacon Number is 6.
